Preeti Rustagi - Founder 

I was born in 1984 in the small town of Rewari, Haryana, just 80 km from Delhi. Growing up in an agricultural family, with my mother as a homemaker, I developed a deep love for learning from a young age. I was always curious, eager to explore new things and understand the world around me.

In high school, I was actively involved in a variety of extracurricular activities, including debate, student government, and the drama club, which helped me hone my leadership and communication skills.

After high school, I pursued my MBA from BITS, Bhiwani, and graduated with honors. I then worked as an assistant professor and financial analyst for a prominent investment bank, where I gained invaluable experience in the business world and learned the intricacies of finance and management.

In 2010, driven by the rapid rise of online shopping, I decided to start my own business. I saw an opportunity to create a new online retail platform that offered a wide range of products at competitive prices. With just a few thousand dollars in savings, I took the plunge, worked tirelessly, and, although I made plenty of mistakes along the way, I never gave up.

Today, my company stands as one of the leading online retailers in the country. We have over 100 employees, and we generate millions in revenue each year. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved and excited for the future as we continue to grow and innovate.

In addition to my business journey, my passion for sustainability and healthy living led me to pursue research in green food products. During the COVID-19 pandemic, as people were confined to their homes, I noticed a growing dependence on processed and unhealthy foods like rice, maida, suji, and oily products. This sparked my desire to explore healthier alternatives, but I found that such products were largely undefined in the market. I took this challenge head-on and pursued a Ph.D. in “Green Food Products,” researching the need for these healthier options. Despite skepticism from some intellectuals who argued that such products didn’t exist, I stood firm in my belief that research in this area was essential, especially in the context of the ongoing global crisis.

My research journey began in 2020, and today, I’m proud to formally introduce my findings and products to the world, hoping to raise awareness and help people make healthier choices. I continue to advocate for the importance of green, sustainable food options and look forward to seeing more developments in this field.
